Believing and Doubting Game: Safety

Believe

What would one as a citizen of the United States of Americans do for safety? Well, many would say anything. However, in actuality they really would not want to do much. But how can this be if we are a country of self government, run by its people. To protect our selves as a nation we there are some liberties that we must give away to take the needed steps towards security. In the formation of our country we agreed that we would have a "social contract". What this "contract" untiled was that people would surrender freedom in return for protection. Now, as citizens we agreed to this "contract" in the formation of our country this is what we as a nation should stand by.
Doubting
Many people believe that we should not have to give up any of our liberties for the protection of our nation. Protection is the job of our government, so they should have a better system. These are the thoughts of many people today with many of the heightened security alerts. In America we fought for our individual rights and they should not be compromised. Many people whom are not natives of America fled their country to come here for all the liberties that we enjoy so to have them taken away does not seem fair. In addition to that if we allow the government to take away these liberties what else in the future will the government try to take from us and we the people just allow it. By allowing the government to take away our liberties which are also our power we might even find ourselves back under the rule of a tyranny. Which by the way our fore father fought and many died trying to free us from.
