From this video I got many ideas as to what it could possibly mean. However there are two main theories that seem most probable. The first theory that came to mind when I heard the video was that he was saying that when the clock strikes us that it is our time to make a difference in the world. Everyone has an input in the world and the actions and decisions we make directly effect each other. So when it comes time for us to do something profound how what will be the affect of our action. Therefore we should always be prepared for change while still trying to make our difference on the world.
Another theory that I feel strong about is that this poet is trying to tell us that there is always time for change. And when it comes time for your life to come to an end and be judged by whatever higher being one believes in let it show humility and selflessness. That just because you live your life one way it does not mean that you are stuck in that rut. You can change it for the better and make it be the thing that stands out.
